GUVNA B & JAHAZIEL ON NIHAL’S BBC 5 LIVE SHOW TALKS ‘CHURCH RELEVANCE’ WITH GUESTS

A very interesting round table discussion presented by Nihal Arthanayake of BBC 5 Live and guests Guvna B (guest editor), Jahaziel and other guests giving their take on the relevance the Christian Church has to meeting people’s needs.

Guvna B  raised the question;

is the Christian Church failing to give people what they want?

Listen above to the interview conducted by Nihal Arthanayake on BBC 5 Live, tell us what you think. We snapshot the discussion for you to have a listen to and tell us your viewpoints on the subject.

As you may well be aware of Jahaziel was a fore-runner for UKCHH for over 2 decades. He had struggles which we heard through his music, took on serious issues and tackled them through years of quality production and lyricism. I can not remember a Jahaziel track that I was disappointed with that he released. From classics like “Father I Turn To You” all the way to “Vessel of Honour ft. A Star x Guvna B”. So it only makes sense for Guvna B to have a talk with the ‘de-converted’ rapper, who stepped away from the faith to walk his own path away from the Christian lifestyle.

No judgments, just insight!

I don’t send judgement on a brother as it was only so long ago I would bump his music, and honestly still do, till the last album “Heads Up”. However I put this up so you can hear a more recent discussion from one who is in the faith (Guvna B) to one who stepped away from it (Jahaziel).  Learning where both mindsets are at, as they both are influential to many in the UKCHH scene.

There are others guests on the show that provide different insights also, but for the purpose of UKCHH and it’s history and where we are going, a good reference for sure!
