Rapzilla Sold by Founder Phillip Rood
Rood founded Rapzilla.com, now the most visited Christian music website, in 2003 at the age of 15 while living in Belgium. Rood operated Rapzilla.com from Minneapolis. He is also a professional photographer and marketer.
In July of 2017 Phillip announced,
“Rapzilla.com was my baby, school, spent half my life doing it, now I’ve sold it and moving to bigger things. #GodisGood “
He replied that he sold the Rapzilla to Chad Horton and Jason Niesing. This also dispelled any rumors that rapper Lecrae of Reach Records may have bought it.
Phillip seems to be very happy with his decision not only to sell his long time business passion Rapzilla but also to be moving on into His new endeavors as stated on his recent Instagram and facebook posts.
Its good to see that this site that represents Christian rap is still going on, an inspiration for KCMix, we need these around to keep delivering the message of God and experiences of this culture.
There is no doubt in our minds that sites like Rapzilla and many others who support the independent artists all around are “called for a time like this”.
Best of blessings to Philip and all the Rapzilla team.
