Where Would I Be? (feat. Dru Bex) – Single by S.O.

S.O. releases a new track “Where Would I Be ft. Dru Bex”. It seems like he is releasing a new track every month. This track is a strong one as it highlights the dependency that S.O. has on God, referencing to many things in his life that wouldn’t be if it were not for Christ.

Classy and enjoyable vocals from Dru Bex and it works well with the track adding a warmth to it. Still representing the cross of Jesus, which is a good role model for many artist who are watching S.O’s movements.

Sampling The Korgiz’s Everybody’s gotta learn sometime in latest track Parkers Verse; It’s clear S.O. has developed heaps since the days of “Sure Thing”. Video director James Knoruka does a fantastic job creating a feature film-esque opening.

S.O uses a combination of rap, rhetorical devices, spoken word and storytelling-to make Parkers Verse the ideal dedication to a nephew/Godson. The backing track is predominantly instrumental and the lyrics touches on the testimonial side. The 3min 47 second long track is jam packed but also doesn’t feel enough.

Fall is the fourth single off of S.O.’s latest project “These Things Take Time” With depth and introspection, he pours out his heart on a myriad of topics.

He speaks about humility and the draw and enticements of this life. He touches some nerves (which Christian Rappers are supposed to do), with his song “Fall”. Boldly states how imperfect he is, but how he holds to the Lord for help.
