Birmingham, UK born gospel rapper Dee Shy makes re-entry to music with her single, Crossroads. With great lyrical prowess, Dee Shy paints the picture of what Jesus did and how ‘He’s gonna meet you at the crossroads.’
Creatively, she pulls us along a path, telling the story from how Jesus sacrificed for her. She goes on to tell how that has led to a change in how she lives her life as she must ‘let the holy spirit lead’ while making an invitation to come just as you are.
The last verse is a reminder that we will soon meet the King, Jesus. This weighty comfort is needed especially in these times which we live in. She stirs the heart of the listeners to look forward to the time when there’ll be ‘no more crying and no more dying.’

Global hip hop/jazz record producer, influential speaker and mentor, Blak Prophetz (Mark Duffus) excellently, produced, arranged and videographed Dee Shy’s Crossroads.
The sampling of the popular Hallelujah chorus at the end is a beautiful addition and is a gentle ending to the hard flow.
Altogether, Crossroads is a song about the sacrifice of Jesus for the unbeliever that leads to believing, the leadings that come with the living as a believer, and the hope of eternity that the believer enjoys.
