JACKIE HILL PERRY HAS RELEASED HER CONTROVERSIAL BOOK ‘GAY GIRL GOOD GOD’
Jackie Hill Perry has released her book ‘Gay Girl Good God’ following her latest album ‘Crescendo’ of which she speaks of it as “The Story Of Who I Was and Who God Has Always Been”
Carrying her story to many universities and engaging people of all walks as well as opposition as was the case at Harvard University.
“Hill-Perry, 28, from St. Louis, is outspoken about claims her religious beliefs stopped her from acting on her sexual attraction to women.
Hill-Perry’s website states that she was “saved from a lifestyle of homosexual sin.”
“Hill-Perry is not believed to have undergone so-called ‘conversion therapy,’ the idea that a person can be ‘cured’ of homosexuality, which is promoted by certain religious groups.” – News Week
She made comments regarding the Story Of Bruce Jenner who then was referred to as ‘Caitlyn Jenner’ during the period the story arose in a Rapzilla article:
Some have accused her of carving a career for herself as “carving out a career based in ‘homophobia and ignorance under the guise of a journey to faith,’ and spreading “hateful beliefs.”
She speaks of her past as an ex-gay person from her early poetic releases with P4CM to her latest album where she in an allegorical song wrote of her coming to faith to Jesus Christ.
Although she’s talked of her transition and faith in many occasions, we believe this book will give a more in-depth look at her life and journey;
“This book is my story but more importantly, it is the telling of the goodness of God.”
The poet, rapper and speaker signed to Humble Beast Record releases her first book out now, available in all digital & physical bookstores everywhere.
